Registration for international participants extended until 31.3.2026!
Finlands Svenska Scouter (the Swedish speaking scouts and guides of Finland) is organizing the Glänta 2026 scout camp 22-29.7.2026 in the Skogby area in Southern Finland.

Glänta is a camp for all scouts in Finland, it is organized by swedish speaking finns, but open for everyone! Swedish speaking finns are a minority in Finland, about 6% of Finlands population speak swedish as a first language and of thoes 6% we are about 4 000 scouts. So quite a small minority on the world scale. For us from Finland this camp is very unique, since swedish speaking finns can be found all over Finalnd, but mainly around the coast. This means that this camp gathers scouts from literally all over Finland, we all differ from eachother on some scale. We share some tradtions and some have grown to completly new ones. Attending this camp is sure to expand your knowledge on world scouting, cultural diferences, languages, traditions and much more. Don't worry we still sing camp fire songs, tine knots, swim, sail and explore ;).

At this camp you get to experience a big finnish scout camp, and we offer a vareity of different activities. From sailing and rock climbing to coding and first aid! You are sure to learn something new and expand on your exsisting knowlege. We also arrange traditional activites such as camp fires, knots, competitions and cooking. So now is your chance to show of your skills!

Finland is attening the World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027, so maybe you want som finnish friends beforehand so that you can trade easly for our signature hat the "väiski"? Maybe already got your hands on one at Glänta. . . Still it would be nice to have some preexisting friends at the WSJ, and what greater way tomake some than to attend Glänta?

Participation is open to international scouts and guides aged 10 years and above. Additionally, scouts older than 18 years can participate in the construction camp 19-22.7 and the tear down camp 29-31.7. Adults can bring with them their children aged 0-6, staying in the family camp together with other scout families at Glänta.

Registration instructions and other current info:

Registration

Registration for international participants is open 1.12.2025 – 31.3.2026
Your group leader first needs to register your group. They can then add group members, or send out a group code to participants, so that they can register themselves. If you are traveling alone, and don’t have a group leader, you must still register a group first. The group leader must be at least 18 years old. The group should have at least 1 adult (18 years or older) for every 10 minors (exceptions may apply depending on the exact ages of the participants). More detailed instructions about this can be found above.

The participation fee for international scouts is 280€ per person. This covers e.g.:
  • An unforgettable scouting experience meeting scouts from the Swedish speaking regions of Finland, as well as other international scouts
  • A varied program suitable for different age groups
  • Common evening programmes for the whole camp
  • Five meals per day, with special diets and restrictions taken into account
  • Assistance and answers to questions before, during and after the camp
Children aged 0-3 participate for free. The group is billed together, i.e. the group leader will receive a single bill covering all the group members.

Camp assignment

All participants that are 15 years or older will have a camp assignment during the camp. Most international participants’ assignments will be taking care of their scout group but there will also be the possibility of having another assignment during the camp. More information about this will be shared later.

Family Camp

Adult leaders can participate together with their children aged 0-6 years and stay in the Family Camp area together with other scout families at Glänta. The children can participate in some organized activities together with their parents 24-26.7. At other times the families are free to organize activities among themselves. There is an unsupervised playground at the camp site where children can play together with their parents. Note that at least one parent needs to have a camp assignment. It may also be possible for both parents to both have a camp assignment, taking turns looking after the children.
